Zagat Redesign Debate

We’ve been following the reactions to the Zagat.com redesign with interest, no surprise. In particular, we were gratified to attract the attention of Mark Hurst and This is Broken. Those posts raise some excellent questions. But much as we’d love to, we can’t comment publicly on the Zagat design/decisionmaking process - though we’re certainly seeking permission to do so. One thing we can say, however, is that yes, Mark, we DO talk to customers. Especially - but not only - ones like Steve Hoffman.

Thanks for listening, guys! Overall, the redesign was very successful (in my opinion), and I acknowledge that my issue with it is probably not one that many people (outside of Westchester) run into. But it’s always good to see a dialogue between a company and it’s customers….

Now get to work adding the Southern NY edition as a location! ;-)

Listening is what we try to do. And glad to see Nina heard you as well. We appreciate the post in the first place - and feel exactly the same way about what you called the ‘power of blogs‘ on your own site earlier today. This has got to be better than silently fuming….thanks again for weighing in, and doing so graciously.
